Biofouling significantly increases hydrodynamic drag, fuel consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions. Even light fouling can increase fuel usage by 25–30%, while heavy fouling can drive emissions increases of up to 55%.

Farraige Dynamics’ ultrasonic antifouling technology works continuously, transmitting controlled ultrasonic energy through the hull structure. This creates microscopic vibrations at the hull–water boundary, preventing microorganisms from settling and forming biofilms — without the use of toxic paints or consumables.

Our systems operate 24/7 while the vessel is afloat, require minimal power, and support long-term operational efficiency.

How It Works


Farraige Dynamics’ ultrasonic antifouling technology is engineered for professional and commercial marine applications, providing a reliable and environmentally responsible defence against biofouling.

Our systems emit controlled, high-frequency ultrasonic signals through the vessel’s hull and internal structures. This energy creates microscopic vibrations and a thin, high-pressure boundary layer at the hull–water interface, disrupting the ability of microorganisms to settle and attach.

By preventing the initial formation of biofilm, the system stops fouling before it starts. The result is a continuous, non-toxic protective effect that keeps underwater surfaces cleaner without the use of traditional coatings, chemicals, or ongoing consumables.
